AngelHack Founder and CEO, Sabeen Ali is honored to announce her second TEDx talk, this time in Kish, Iran on April 17, 2015. The theme of TEDx: Kish, Iran is “Tipping Point.”

She spoke at TEDx Orange Coast: “Beautiful Minds” in 2013. Described as “a powerful testimony that should inspire others, teen girls and women and those who live with them.”

Ali, CEO of a female-dominated tech company and leader in the global hackathon space since 2011, will address self-oppression and empowering women taking on new roles.

Ali advocates for the power of code and the power it ignites once that skill is developed, and from that fire AngelHack was born. AngelHack is now the leading hackathon organization and has ignited a wide-spread interest in hackathons around the globe.

TEDx: Kish, Iran is just one part of the large effort to turn Kish, Iran into a hub for innovation, as well as a catalyst for new conversations. Twenty other highly accredited speakers will join Ali, all coming together to inspire and encourage the Iranian community. Speakers include the amazing Shirin Gerami, Iran’s first female triathlete in a world championship, Tralance Addy, Executive Director for the Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies at Stanford University, and Gesine Thomson, Founder and CEO of World Consciousness Center.
